I was trying for least patronising, polite and a fairly accessible feel to it - glad it has at least the middle one working out fine. :)

I wrote it on a whim because I felt like some things the FAQ doesn't cover and older users get annoyed at having to explain things again and again - I almost didn't post it because I wasn't sure if it would actually have much purpose, so sure, I'm very happy for you to quote it. I'm just glad if it helps anyone at all.
