Taken from belisse. Following a read of this meta on lack of feedback I'm thinking I could do with pimping my gen/character stuff that I'm proud of (but get barely any comments on) about the place. I'm well enough known in the happy little SGA fandom niche of McKay/Weir but for any other fandoms or gen SGA stories, even straight main character angst/friendship things, seem to just sit about not getting much love. Hence I'm going to fill in this completely conceited meme in order to hopefully inspire people to read those fics that I adore myself.

That said, my 4400 in general I love to bits, loved writing and it's not a much loved fandom. I consistently had my betareaders being the only people who'd leave comments 90% of the time.

Also whilst doing this meme I found out that I have more than 100 fic posts, making the my fanfic tag a bit worthless since it wouldn't go back further than that. Hence now I'm leaving it for general talk of my fanfic and fics will be posted under for example the tag - my 4400 fic, my heroes fic or my sga fic etc. Should make it easier to find things within a fandom on my journal, though I really need to make myself a website to list everything on.

Time to tag people for the meme. I choose planetkiller, mari4212, wisdomeagle, tielan and lastly fanwoman, in the hope she'll start both using her LJ and getting her fic more out there.

I'm in the mood to write and I'd like to write for Heroes, but nothing big. So I thought I'd go open house on Heroes drabble requests. Whatever you want I shall write at least 100 words for. I mean whatever; any pairing, any rating, any theme. Feel free to request a couple. :)

EDIT: To avoid me spoiling requestees, please let me know what episode you've seen up to and if you've read the graphic novels.

Okay, so I took part in this years Remix ficathon (what's that you may say? Think remixes of songs but with fic). It's anonymous for a whole week - ending sometime tomorow afternoon when there is the big reveal. Stories can be found on the very nice archive here, which also houses the stories for the past few years. You can browse by remix year, fandom and several other ways. This years remix was Redux IV: I Know What You Did Last Remix.

A lot of the fic is for Harry Potter (which much involving Sirius, Sirius/Remus or the Black family - though it has some wonder other character pieces, too), but other predominant fandoms are SGA (with much McKay/Sheppard), Firefly, Angel and X-Men Movieverse. I might do a rec list of fics but not this week as I'm far too busy with a presentation and a 2000 word essay.

And since other people seem to be doing it, I'm offering a ficlet if you can guess which story I remixed before the reveal. It's only a day left, but if anyone can then you got yourself a ficlet. And no, this isn't open to anyone on my friendlist who might be able to tell from a certain betareader request post I put up (which is now gone). I won't be able to tell if you read it though... To give you a clue I did not remix a Stargate story.

So far I don't think there's much interest in the remix I did. The original author gave nice feedback but otherwise I've had zilch through the sites built in system. :(

Okay, in the spirit of the holidays I'm offering everyone a fandom/virtaul Christmas/Yule/Hanukah/etc gift. This is open to anyone who I know online, and because of festive cheer anyone else who likes the same kind of stuff I do, but you must reply no later than the 25th, because anyone replying after who is not someone I know well will not be sure to get anything.

Things you can choose from, but only choose one, are:

Icons - give me a show, and also a focus of some sort if you like, e.g. character, pairing, theme. I'll do almost anything as long as there is access to caps. You may get anywhere from 3 to 10, or more if I am inspired. But 3 at least I promise.

Wallpapers - just one, but it can be for anything you like practically, as long as pictures are available. Also please say what size you need it.

Vid - I'd prefer if you ask for a specific song matched up to a fandom or character or pairing. Obviously I may not have the song, but I might be able to get it if you ask. I just don't want anything too vague, but you can ask for a vid for a pairing or a theme or character, having a song or list of several would be better but I can probably work around.

Fanfic - I'll do several drabbles, or one small piece (guarantte of about 1000 words), or alternatively I'll do fanfic poetry if you like. Can't do songs though... except maybe attempting filks.

Original fiction - story or poem, just give me a theme or setting and I shall try.

I cannot promise any of these before Christmas sadly, but if you ask you shall receive, just a bit later than actual Christmas as I will be worknig my way through them in New Years. Vids in particular may take along while due to the nature and time taken for vidding, but I will get round to them, promise, at the very least before enxt Christmas. :D

Ok, so learning java not going well.
My mind is incapable of taking a break from fanfic.
Currently keeping at bay, two letters from pegasus tags, the next chapter of too many scientists spoil the plot and the real hotzone fic. Plus a couple of drabbles and an unusual pairing one.
And I was intent on making a video too.

But spent today helping out with new atlantis message board of which I am now a mod. put quite alot of effort into it, helping the others who set it up. so come visit it at.
