If, and that's a very big if, LJ ever goes bust, I have setup accounts on Inksome, as recommended to me by ohvienna, which I have invites for should anyone want (150 userpics for basic accounts!).
Oh, I've never looked at Inksome before. I'm not as fond of InsaneJournal, which is the usual alternate option. I'd be interested. :)
And shall get around to answering your question about Death Note - I just have to think up some kind of nifty summary that doesn't involve spoilers, haha. I think you probably would enjoy it, though. *not at all biased*
